good mourning, America

You wake up and roll over, and realize you are late for work, because the sun is warming you.  You must have overslept, and you remember turning on the alarm last night, but as you look at it for the time, it is blank.  So reaching for your ever present cell phone, it is blank too, and won’t turn on.  “Stupid piece of junk,” as you reach for the remote, but the TV stays off too, and you wonder, what’s going on?  So you wonder downstairs, and looking outside see the neighbors cars with their hoods up, and notice how quiet it is, no traffic.  And no one you talk with has any explanation, and no contact with anyone except who is in front of them.  And you get an eerie feeling, no power, great.  So as you walk back to the house, you wonder how your neighbor is, an older man who is usually up and around when you go to work.  So knocking on his door, you get no answer, but looking in see him slouched on the sofa.  “Call 911” he pleads, my pacemaker has stopped, and I’m weak.  HELP!”  As he passes out.  And you are completely helpless to do anything, and as you stare down at him, you think out loud, “what is going on?  Where did all the power go?”  And suddenly to you and your neighbors it is 1890, and even your flashlights don’t work.  There is no electricity to be found for love or money, and panic begins to set in.  Where is SDG&E when we need them?  And as the day warms up, with no AC, no fans, no hot water for showers, no cooffee maker, and no microwaves, you are left in the dark, until it gets dark...and with no security, you look to your guns, and your neighbors, who have banded together, for the worst.  Which is yet to come....and as darkness settles in, and no ne has any power, where is help?  What has happened, where are the police?  Are we safe?  And you huddle your family together alone inside your home, hot, scared, and hungry....the unknown becoming your worse enemy.
Far fetched, maybe not on the Sci Fi channel, or on some monster movie from the ‘50’s, but this is real life.  And maybe the way wars will be fought in the future, without bombs as we know them today.  What we have witnessed is an example of a EMP bomb, Electro Magnetic Pulse bomb, that has been set off, and knocked out all electrical power over its bomb site.  Acting like a giant microwave, it has brought its target audience to its knees without a gun shot being fired.  It has created fear, confusion, and a playing field where ground troops can now move in and take over.  1865 ground tactics, with no form of communication, we are held captive by our technology, and fear becomes the rule of the day.
Today in an era of drones, and of the US military ordering robot soldiers, it seems the future is here.  Traditional war costs to much, and even gangs don’t retaliate as they used too.  Now if a member is killed, they demand a payment, and it is given, keeping both victim and aggressor out of the headlines.  But the war goes on.  It is about power, control, and intimidation.  And the EMP bomb is so powerful, that two of them strategically dropped on the US could wipe us out electronically.  Making the scenario above real.
An old Star Trek, the real one, once showed two planets at war, fought on computers, and when a target was hit, the victims were led into a neutralizing chamber, and they were put to death.  A quiet war, where you still had victims, just no gunfire, all fought via computer.  No face to face, just like most of today’s communications.  And as the people were loaded into neutralizing chambers, to die, the scenes of Nazi Germany unfolded in my mind, the visions of Jews, millions of them, being excited about taking a shower, not knowing it was a gas chamber.  And of millions hungry, who followed Hitler, just to get a meal.  And we sit back and tell ourselves, it can never happen here.  Just because we haven’t seen it, doesn’t mean it cannot happen.  And Normalcy Bias takes over....good mourning, America.  It is time for a wake up call.
A spiritual wake up call.  A call for God to rescue us out of our perilous situation.  For as bad as world events are, and will be, we still have the personal battle to fight every day.  In the scenario above, it was “good Lord, it’s morning,” and panic set in.  But God greets us with a smile, and we should say “Good morning Lord.”  Greet the day with Jesus, and start out with the attitude that this is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad.  That safe in Him, no matter what happens, from sleeping in to the above scenario, God has it all under control.  And yes, we are heading to a day of reckoning, a day of judgment, but just in time Jesus will call His church out of here, leaving only those left behind to deny Him, and quite possible a scenario as above.  But I will never know, nor do I care to.  I will be in heaven, I chose Jesus, I will weather the storm, He has won the battles, and I am victorious in Him.  Are with me?  Better yet are you with Him?
Scripture tells us we will not all sleep, some will never see death.  A generation that could be us, are you ready? Who do you trust?  Your country, your wife, your gun, or are you trusting God?  Do you live in fear, or have you seen the light, that never goes out?  EMP bombs are real, but so is Jesus.  Turn to Him before the lights go out, once and for all.  Just a scenario for a movie, or a forecast of things to come.  Good mourning, America.  You have been warned by God in the scriptures, wise men still seek Him.  Where will you be when the lights go out?
This is amazing grace, this is amazing love, that Jesus gave His life to set us free.
love with compassion,
Mike
